I recently enjoyed a three-night stay at a hotel tucked away in Playa del Carmen, where the traditional charm meets modern comforts. Initially, navigating to the hotel proved a slight challenge due to the chaotic local roads, but it was well located, just a 15-minute drive from the airport and close to Xcaret. The inclusion of Wi-Fi, plasma TVs, and individual air-conditioning made our stay comfortable. We did experience some noise disturbances from the hallway, which might be an issue if you're a light sleeper. Our bathroom, while clean, had limited lighting—something to keep in mind if you need good visibility for your daily routine. While dining options were limited, we found ourselves relying on taxis to explore the vibrant 5th Avenue, which is about a 30-minute walk away. The accessibility of parking was an added plus, making it easier for us to explore the area, although a better breakfast selection would have enhanced our experience. This hotel serves as a viable option for those seeking a blend of convenience and comfort during their Caribbean getaway.
